We'll help you write to your elected representatives.
We're in this together
Our democracy has worked well for so long that we haven't all needed to know exactly how it works, or how to get involved.
But it's important now to raise our voices—and it can be intimidating to know where to start.
Let's figure this out.
The Mix team is donating time to help you write letters to your elected officials. It's just one thing, but it's something we all can do.

How it works

Contact information
We'll need your name and email address, and the name and title of the person you'd like help writing to. We won't put you on an email list, or sell your information. For help finding your legislator, see the next section below.

A few questions
We'll ask you to answer a few questions via email to help shape the content of your letter, and present a logical argument with supporting facts and personal impact. Your answers are confidential, and will only be seen by the writers on our team.

A letter
You'll receive, via email, a thoughtful, well-written letter that addresses your chosen topic appropriately and to the best of our abilities. You can then make any changes you'd like, sign the letter, and mail it to your representative.
Will you help anyone, regardless of views?
Yes, within these guidelines:
You must be able to answer the questions with enough clarity to allow us to build the letter for you on the first pass.
You must have genuine intent and be respectful and kind. We have a "no assholes" policy and that is solely at our discretion.
Any help offered depends on availability of resources. We may sometimes be too busy to help.
No one on the Mix team will be asked to support work that violates their personal values.
